Frequently asked questions
How do I turn an image into a barcode or QR code?
Paste or choose a picture, select Detect & generate and check the results. Choose a code type, then download a PNG or SVG image.
Are my screenshots or photos uploaded?
No. Your picture is read and your new codes are made in your browser. Your picture and the codes read from it stay on your device.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use the tool and download your codes for free, without an account or watermark.
Do barcodes generated from images expire?
The barcode and QR code images never expire. If a code contains a website link or tracking number, that website or tracking service still needs to recognize it.
Can I convert any picture into a QR code?
This tool reads supported barcodes, QR codes and tracking numbers from your picture and makes a new code from the results. It does not upload your photo or turn the whole picture into a web link.
Why should I check the codes read from my picture?
Blurry pictures, small labels and unusual text can cause reading mistakes. Compare each result with your original picture before using or printing a code.
