From a character to a connected scene.
Build shots in your browser using the same character rigs, animation clips and sound. Your device handles the preview and video export.
- Rig and animate your character in RiggerSet, then export a self-contained animated GLB. Keep your original editable character file.
- Import the GLB in Animation Studio. Use the cast member in multiple shots, or add another actor from the same model. Import sets and props as GLBs too.
- Enable 3D preview. Select an imported animation clip and set the actor's start/end position, rotation, scale and animation time. Save actor direction. Set and save the shot's camera.
- Add a connected shot. It starts at the selected shot's end pose and animation phase. Change the camera for your next cut. Lengths save to whole frames at your chosen frame rate.
- Import dialogue, music or other recorded sound. Add a cue and set its start/offset/gain. Sound can continue across shots; add that cue once. Turn on Play sound when you want audible preview.
- Export the selected shot or sequence, then download the video. Supported MP4 codecs are used first, with WebM as a fallback. Cancel stops an unfinished export.
Keep your production.
Accepted edits save automatically in this browser on this device. Save project downloads a complete .sprigfilm backup containing your shots, cast, models and audio. Open project restores it into the current production. New opens a separate empty production; keep its URL to return to it. Reload saved resolves a conflict if another tab changed the production.
Browser data can be cleared or evicted. Download backups regularly and before switching devices. The site does not upload your imported files or supply cloud project storage.
What this version supports.
Imported bone and facial morph animation clips, reusable independent cast instances, start/end actor movement, static cameras per shot, ordered connected shots, imported audio and local export. Exports are limited to 10 minutes or 36,000 frames each and buffered in memory. Save shorter segments and use a final editor for a full film.
There is no automatic character performance, voice generation, lip sync, physics/IK editor, compositor or final multitrack editing timeline here. Original character quality and performance come from your imported assets. Each GLB is up to 64 MiB, each audio file up to 32 MiB. External model resources and extra compression decoders are unsupported.
AI and automation controls.
The named browser API window.oddsprigAnimationStudio exposes inspect(), command(command, expected_revision), importFile(file), exportProject() and importProject(file). Inspect first and pass that saved revision with a bounded command. The same controls update the visible editor. Commands never start model downloads, paid generation or GPU preview automatically.
const studio = window.oddsprigAnimationStudio;
const { document } = await studio.inspect();
await studio.command({ op: 'shot.add', inherit: true }, document.revision);
This browser production is stored on this device. A separate Bridge workspace keeps its own production files; there is no automatic sync between those stores.
